Death Toll from Kenyan Floods Rises to 108 as Thousands Displaced

The death toll from weeks of devastating floods in Kenya has climbed to 108, according to the National Police Service, which released updated figures on Saturday.

The flooding, triggered by heavy rains that began on the evening of March 6, has caused widespread destruction across the East African nation. Flash floods have swept away dozens of vehicles, disrupted air travel, and severely damaged power infrastructure.

Authorities reported that more than 2,700 families have been displaced nationwide as a result of the disaster, leaving many in urgent need of shelter and assistance.

Although rainfall intensity has eased in some regions, police have warned that the خطر is far from over. Overflowing drainage systems and saturated ground conditions continue to pose a significant threat of further flooding in affected areas.

Emergency response teams remain on alert as officials urge residents in vulnerable zones to take precautions and stay informed about weather updates.
