Four professional thieves of regular cases have been arrested in a special operation of Akbarshah Police Station of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP). Two stolen laptops and a DSLR camera were recovered from them during this time. According to police sources, under the direction of Akbarshah Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Kamruzzaman and under the leadership of the Police Inspector (Investigation) of the police station, a special operation team including SI (retd) Rabiul Hossain, ASI (retd) Mejbah Uddin, ASI (retd) Md. Jasim Uddin conducted an operation in Ispahani C-Gate and Notunpara areas of Pahartali Police Station under Akbarshah Police Station from 12:30 am to early morning on July 1, 2026. Four accused of Akbarshah Police Station Case No. 40, dated June 28, 2026, Sections 457/380/427 were arrested in the operation. The arrested are Takbir Hossain Riyad (25), Nurunnabi (22), Rakib Hossain (24) and Yunus Hridoy Prakash Bara Bacha (48). Police said that during interrogation and search of the arrested, two stolen laptops and a DSLR camera were recovered from their possession. The recovered goods have been seized and necessary legal action has been taken. The arrested accused have been sent to the court under proper police guard after completing the next legal process, said Akbarshah Police Station.
