Five more associates were also arrested along with him in the operation conducted on Wednesday (July 29) morning.Chittagong District Police Superintendent Masud Alam confirmed the arrest. He said that a total of six people, including David Emon, have been arrested in the operation. The police have information that all the five arrested associates are involved in various criminal activities as armed shooters. According to police sources, David Emon had been working as a close associate of fugitive top terrorist Sajjad Ali alias Boro Sajjad abroad for a long time. There are at least 15 cases against him, including murder, weapons, extortion and terrorist activities. His name has repeatedly come up in multiple extortion, intimidation and terrorist activities that have taken place in Chittagong in recent years.

Mobarak Hossain alias David Emon is a resident of Kanchannagar area of Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong and is the son of Md. Musa. According to police information, he is one of the accused in the controversial double murder case that took place in Baklia area of the city on March 30, 2025. In addition, his name is also in the murder case of terrorist Dhakaiya Akbar that took place in Patenga beach area on the night of May 23 of the same year.
