And for this very reason, a well-planned siege of darkness is visible around the beacon that shone in the sky of Chittagong\u2014Additional IGP and former Police Commissioner of CMP Hasib Aziz\u2014today. Chittagong\u2014a unique city of mountains, rivers, seas, and vibrant people. Just as there are bright chapters of trade and culture in the history of this city, there is also a story of a long fight against crime, drugs, and terrorism. Hasib Aziz emerged in an important chapter of that fight\u2014not as an administrative officer, but as an artisan of change. When he took charge, he was faced with a complex reality\u2014various challenges to law and order, the dominance of criminal gangs, and a crisis of trust among people. But he was not afraid of this reality; Rather, he dealt with it with his wisdom, foresight and moral fortitude. Under his leadership, Chittagong got a policing system where law enforcement was not just an administrative task\u2014it was a moral commitment. As strict as he was in suppressing crime, he was also deeply sympathetic to the common man. The doors of the police station have opened for the people, the police have become a refuge for the people\u2014this change did not come overnight, it came as a result of his relentless hard work and good intentions. His firm stance, especially in the anti-terrorism and anti-drug campaigns, has shaken the foundations of many influential circles. One of his greatest successes was the strict enforcement of the law against those who have poisoned the veins of this city for many years. The people of Chittagong will remember his role in recovering weapons, arresting criminals, and dismantling crime networks with deep respect. But history says\u2014whenever a righteous force stands firmly against injustice, that unjust force is ready to strike back. We are witnessing that picture today.<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">Some notorious terrorist groups in Chittagong, drug trafficking gangs and a class of evil-minded circles associated with them\u2014who have lost their interests due to his strong stance\u2014are now simultaneously spreading propaganda against him. They have engaged in a dirty game of character assassination\u2014they have not hesitated to engage in heinous conspiracies like blackmailing through various women.<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">This is not an isolated incident\u2014it is a well-planned attempt, the aim of which is to destroy the credibility of an honest official and question his achieved success. Here an important question arises\u2014why such propaganda against a person who sacrifices his personal interests, works for the state, and dedicates himself to the people? The answer is simple\u2014because he did not compromise. Because he did not bow to illegal advantages. Because he remained steadfast in the path of justice.<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">Another important aspect of his career is\u2014being deprived of promotions for a long time. He was neglected in the past due to the political background of his father, former IGP Azizul Haque. But this deprivation did not weaken him; rather, it made him stronger. He has proven that competence, honesty, and hard work are the true identity of a person.<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">Today, when the possibility of state recognition has emerged as a result of his long struggle, the shadow of conspiracy has once again loomed large. But one thing is clear\u2014conspiracy can temporarily hide the truth, but it cannot defeat it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span dir=\"auto\">The people of Chittagong are not in any confusion. They know\u2014who has worked for them, who has ensured their security, who has stood by them. They know\u2014Hasib Aziz is not just an official, he is a guardian, a symbol of trust. Every alley of this city, every festival, every quiet evening\u2014bears testimony to his actions. In today&#8217;s context, our responsibility is not just to support an individual\u2014our responsibility is to support the truth, support justice, and take a stand against all those evil attempts that push society towards darkness. The story of Hasib Aziz is actually the story of a larger truth where a man stands against all odds and keeps his principles intact, and ultimately finds a place in the hearts of people. Many things are lost in the flow of time\u2014but some names, some deeds, some ideals remain eternal.
