
Tourist Desk: One ship carrying jet fuel (aviation fuel) from Singapore and two ships carrying diesel from Malaysia have arrived at Chittagong Port. The unloading of fuel from these ships is underway.Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) said that the MT Great Princess ship has been unloading fuel at Dolphin Jetty-6 since 8 am on Tuesday. The ship has brought about 11,000 metric tons of jet fuel from Singapore.On the other hand, the Indonesian-flagged MT Lucia Solis departed from Malaysia on April 9 and arrived at Chittagong Port at 11 pm on Tuesday. The ship is carrying about 34,000 metric tons of diesel. The fuel is currently being unloaded through the lighterage process and is scheduled to dock at Dolphin Jetty-5 on Wednesday afternoon.BPC Assistant Manager Farzin Hasan Moumita said the Danish-flagged MT Torm Damini has been unloading fuel at the outer anchorage since Tuesday night with about 32,000 metric tons of diesel. The ship is scheduled to arrive at Dolphin Jetty-6 on Wednesday. The ship set sail from Malaysia on April 9.BPC officials said that due to depth problems at Chittagong Port, large ships first reached the outer anchorage and unloaded some oil. Later, the rest was unloaded after being loaded onto the jetty.
