Journalist, social/humanitarian and voluntary organization Journalist Development Council (JDC) has organized an Eid reunion, cultural program, quiz competition and prize distribution program among journalists. This event was held on Sunday, April 5, at 7:00 pm at the Azadi Goli Baithok Khana Hallroom in Cheragi Paharsot in the city. Under the direction of the Chief Director of the Board of Directors of the organization, Md. Kamal Uddin, under the chairmanship of the Central Committee President Shahidul Islam, and moderated by Rebecca Sultana Rekha Chowdhury, the Chairman of the Journalist Development Council, S. M. Mizan Ullah, was present as the chief guest at the event.
The inaugural function was attended by veteran freedom fighter journalist, editor and writer Moinuddin Qaderi Shawkat, advisor of Chittagong Press Club. Also present as special guests were Billal Hossain, vice-president of the central committee of the organization, journalists Ibrahim Qutubi, Abdul Hamid, journalist Abdul Mubin, organizing secretary of the central committee Shamsul Alam Rana, journalist Hossain Mintu, publicity secretary of the central committee journalists Asif Khandaker, and Masud Alam, member secretary of the Chittagong district committee Saifur Rahman, joint general secretary of the central committee Zahiruddin Babar, member Abbas Uddin, organizing secretary of the metropolitan committee Murad Hossain Biplob, journalist Sohel Amin, journalist Bibi Kulsum, journalist Rajib Ahmed, journalist Alam, president of the Banshkhali Upazila Committee Aminul Islam, general secretary Abu Siddique, member of the Banshkhali Committee Mohammad Nurul Absar, journalist Shahidul Islam Bablu, Channel Correspondent Belal, The meeting was held at the beginning with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Maulana Abshar, a member of the organization. The director of the organization, eminent writer and researcher Md. Kamal Uddin, delivered a welcome speech. In addition, Murad Hossain Biplob won the first prize in the lottery draw of the event, Rihan Sheikh won the prize in the quiz competition, and Jago Banshkhali Chairman Abu Siddique won the first prize in the live view on the Facebook page. At the end of the event, the guests and leaders of the organization distributed prizes among the winners in the joy of Eid.
