British prosecutors have charged three men in connection with an arson attack targeting ambulances serving the Jewish community in north London.
The incident occurred on March 23, when several ambulances were set on fire. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer described the घटना as a “deeply shocking antisemitic arson attack.”
According to the Crown Prosecution Service, the suspects—aged 20, 19, and 17—have been charged with arson with intent to cause property damage and recklessness as to whether lives could be endangered. Two of the accused are British citizens, while the third holds dual British-Pakistani nationality.
The attack took place near a synagogue in the Golders Green area of London. The SITE Intelligence Group reported that an Iran-aligned militant group calling itself the Islamic Movement of the People of the Right Hand had claimed responsibility for the incident.
While counter-terrorism police are leading the investigation, authorities have not yet classified the case as terrorism-related.
The three suspects are scheduled to appear before Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
