The Japanese government has approached Japan Display about the possibility of operating an advanced manufacturing plant in the United States as part of a broader $550 billion investment and loan package, according to a report by Nikkei Asia on Saturday. The proposed facility could be worth around $13 billion and would be aimed at strengthening technology and manufacturing cooperation between the two countries.
