The City Intelligence Analysis Division has arrested two individuals while they were allegedly committing a robbery in the Jatrabari Gol Chattar area of the capital.
At around 6:30 pm on Sunday (September 13), a special operation was conducted by a team of the City Intelligence Analysis Division led by SI (Unarmed) Md. Murad Hossain, based on MCC No. 965/26 and GD No. 273/26.
During the operation, two individuals were arrested while allegedly committing a robbery on the paved road in the Jatrabari Gol Chattar area under Jatrabari Police Station.
The arrested individuals are Mohammad Ali (20), son of Iman Ali and Jabeda Begum, from Paschim Shuktail area under Gopalganj Sadar Police Station. He is currently living as a tenant at Sajib’s residence in Kajla (Dabtala), Jatrabari, Dhaka.
The other arrestee is Shawon (22), son of Idris and Sumi, from Shanin Akhra (Gobindapur) area under Jatrabari Police Station, Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
The two arrested individuals were subsequently handed over to Jatrabari Police Station.
According to the relevant authorities, multiple cases have been filed against the two individuals at different police stations. Legal proceedings have been initiated against them.
