The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level has been increased by a record amount. The price of a 12-kg cylinder for the month of April has been increased by Tk 387 from Tk 1,341 to Tk 1,728.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price list on Thursday (April 2). The new prices announced will be effective from this evening.
Not only cooking gas, but the price of autogas used in vehicles has also increased in line. BERC said that the price of autogas has been increased by 17.94 taka per liter from 61.83 taka to 79.77 taka.
Earlier, in March, the price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder was kept unchanged at Tk 1,341. In that month, the price of autogas was reduced by 3 paisa to Tk 61.83.
