A case of teacher harassment, threats and extortion has been filed against the controversial acting principal of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Degree College in Khadakiya Chikanandandi (KC) in Chattogram, Abdul Quddus Mia, controversial members of the college’s governing council Md. Golam Kibria Chowdhury and Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury. The case was filed by Muhammad Ibrahim Qutubi, assistant professor, department head and founding teacher of the college’s Islamic History and Culture Department, at Hathazari Police Station on March 15.
It is learned from the complaint that on December 3, 2025, in the college principal’s room, controversial members Md. Golam Golam Kibria Choung and Faruk Ahmed Choung, in collusion with the acting principal, physically assaulted teacher Muhammad Ibrahim Qutubi and expelled him from the college, focusing on protesting against the controversial acting principal Abdul Quddus Mia’s embezzlement of funds, misconduct towards teachers and various rules and corruption. Later, on December 21, 2025, in collusion with the controversial individuals, Ibrahim Qutubi was temporarily suspended from service without any notice to name or show cause, under the signature of the chairman of the governing body, using false, fabricated, fictitious excuses. He filed a writ petition case against this order on March 2, 2026 in the Supreme Court High Court Division. Case No. 2641 of 20226. After filing the case, the controversial people mentioned in the complaint got angry and threatened him. And if he wants to get his job back, he has been threatening them that he will have to pay a certain amount of extortion or bribe and the case will be withdrawn. Finally, he filed a general diary at this police station. It is worth noting that according to local sources, Golam Kibria Chowdhury is an accomplice of the fallen fascist government and Faruk Ahmed Chowdhury is accused of being the Chittagong receiver of the money laundering group of the fallen fascist government.
