Iranian President Approves Talks with U.S.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said on Tuesday that negotiations with the United States should proceed to protect national interests, provided they occur in an environment free of “threats and unreasonable expectations.”

“Considering requests from friendly regional countries to respond to the U.S. President’s proposal for talks, I have instructed the foreign minister to prepare the ground for fair and balanced negotiations, should conditions arise that are free from threats and unreasonable demands,” Pezeshkian wrote on X.
