Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said that it is ‘ridiculous’ to claim anti-corruption politics by sheltering loan defaulters and bank robbers . Addressing BNP , he said that talking about fighting corruption by nominating those against whom there are allegations of serious corruption and money laundering is nothing but a joke with the people. Jamaat Ameer made these remarks while addressing the election rally of Md . Nahid Islam, the candidate of the 11-party alliance for Dhaka – 11 constituency, at the DIT Project playground in Badda, Dhaka, on Sunday. Promising Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said , “In Bangladesh of justice , no matter who the criminal is , the President , the Prime Minister or the common man , no one will be above the law.” Regarding women’s safety, the Jamaat Amir said , “Women are not safe anywhere, be it at home , on the streets or at work. In the new Bangladesh, the highest priority will be given to ensuring the respect and safety of women and girls.”
