BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has called for making the sheaf of rice victorious on February 12 to change the destiny of the people. He said , “On the 12th, the people of Bangladesh will not just vote and elect their representatives ; the election on the 12th must be an election to rebuild the country. This election must be an election to change the destiny of the people.”
Tarique Rahman was speaking at the Mirpur – 10 Senpara Adarsh High School ground in Dhaka – 15 constituency yesterday, Sunday afternoon . Highlighting the plans that BNP wants to do to change the fate of the people , he said , “We said them yesterday in the election manifesto. We have adopted a plan for the women of the country. How to further empower the women of the country. How to strengthen the economic backbone of the country’s farmers , we have adopted that plan. We are adopting that plan to improve the healthcare of the people of the country . How to provide employment to the young members of the country’s society , whether they are boys or girls ; we have presented that plan to you by forming various vocational and technical institutions including ICT . ” News bdnews.com.
The BNP Chairman said , if all these changes have to be made , if all these plans have to be implemented ; then I and my party BNP cannot be possible without your cooperation and support. I want to know from you , BNP as a political party has presented its plan before you. But I want to know from the residents of Dhaka – 15, what is your plan on the 12th ? Tell me. Thousands of leaders – workers – supporters in the street meeting shouted in unison , ‘ Sheaf of rice , sheaf of rice.’ Tarique Rahman said , ‘ Inshallah, if you succeed in your plan on the 12th, then inshallah, we will implement all the plans that BNP has adopted for the people of the country and all the promises that we have presented to you for the people of this area , inshallah. BNP always believes that the people are the source of all the power of BNP. We do not want to make any promises to you that are beyond the people’s ability or capacity. We want to make promises to the people that we can implement.
