The Galaxy S26 FE will inherit the video feature

The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to inherit one of the video recording features introduced by Samsung in the more expensive Galaxy S26 models . Two videos that supposedly reveal actual units of the phone show the presence of Horizontal Lock , a stabilization tool available in the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

The recordings show a device in purple or violet colors, with the new camera module adopted by the Galaxy S26 family. When opening the camera app, the Horizontal Lock option can be identified among the available features.

Horizontal Lock keeps the video level.

Horizontal Lock debuted on the Galaxy S26 line as part of Super Steady mode. The feature combines the phone’s motion sensors with the stabilization system to keep the horizon level during recording .

In practice, this allows you to tilt or even completely rotate your smartphone without the video following the movement. On compatible devices, the orientation can remain stable even during a full 360-degree rotation.

This feature can be especially useful for recordings made during walks, runs, or situations where the phone experiences sudden movements. So far, Samsung offers this function on the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra, as well as the recently announced Galaxy Z Fold 8.

If the videos are legitimate, the Galaxy S26 FE will be the first more affordable model of the generation to receive the feature. The decision would also be aligned with the FE line’s proposition, which usually brings some of the features of Samsung’s premium phones to a lower price range.

The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to retain familiar hardware.

The videos also reinforce other specifications that have already appeared in previous leaks. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to feature a 120Hz screen, a 4,900mAh battery, and One UI 9 based on Android 17 .

One of the recordings also mentions the  Exynos 2500 chipset , 45W charging, and a rear camera setup consisting of 50MP, 12MP, and 8MP sensors.

Many of these features would be inherited directly from the Galaxy S25 FE. The current model already has a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 4,900 mAh battery, 45W charging, and the same camera setup.

The main hardware change would be the chipset, as the Exynos 2500 would replace the Exynos 2400 used in the previous generation. With this, software features like Horizontal Lock could gain even more prominence among the new features of the Galaxy S26 FE.

Samsung has not yet officially confirmed the device or revealed when it will be launched. However, the appearance of seemingly finished units in real videos indicates that the presentation may happen soon.
